Gomero is an open and allowing place to work! There is something nice about being able to come as you are and feel that you still fit in. Despite or perhaps thanks to the fact that we are quite few, we have a great team spirit that crosses over the departments. It’s clear that we’re all equally important in order to achieve our purpose at Gomero. But moreover, I would say that the sustainability work stands out the most, where you start with the individual to create conditions for a healthy life not only in the workplace but also outside.
The expression “the more I see, the less I know” I think fits quite well in this context, because one question usually brings out more questions – meaning learning never ends. That’s why it’s also important to me that you can take your own initiative for your personal development at Gomero. After all, no one knows better than me what would help me improve myself.
Both my own health and the environment have long been fundamental to me. This doesn’t mean that it’s sometimes difficult to accommodate them fully, but for me it’s important to always include sustainability in the decisions I make. Sustainability can of course be a challenge and it can feel difficult to take look at oneself with critical eyes, but today I think there are many of us who are willing to perhaps make the change required to live a healthy life, environmental impact included.
At Gomero, we have made the issue of sustainability an integrated part of the business, which I really like. It feels like you’ve cracked the code when you start working holistically on an individual level and you get such a positive response from the coworkers, where many have made clear changes in their lifestyle. It’s incredibly cool and entirely thanks to the fact that we have a CEO who dares to challenge both himself and the organization so that everyone can become their best self.
There’s no ordinary day and that’s exactly what I like! Of course, it’s important that you have the opportunity to plan your time and get done what you prioritized, but at the same time, the future is not static, which you must be able to adapt to.
But I would say that a normal day consists of a nice mix of interesting and fun discussions with my colleagues, a training session at lunch and working on our many exciting projects!
