SIPP Node 500 is our proprietary, validated technology that ensures no transformer oil escapes into the environment. Through continuous monitoring, it detects oil leaks, issues alarms, and automates maintenance work while all activities are saved for complete traceability.

At Gomero, we see digitalization and sustainability as two sides of the same coin. To provide a transparent picture of our climate impact (CO₂e), we have conducted a thorough life cycle analysis (LCA) of our SIPP Node 500.

The result? 157 CO₂e - and proof that advanced technology can be combined with responsible resource use.

The life cycle analysis covers the entire SIPP Node 500's journey from raw material extraction to final waste management. We have analyzed material production, manufacturing, transport, installation, operation, and recycling. This holistic view provides a transparent picture of the product's actual environmental impact.

What do the numbers tell us?

With 157 kg CO₂e throughout its entire 15-year lifecycle, SIPP Node 500 performs with a climate footprint of only 10.5 kg CO₂e per year. This positions our technology favorably compared to everyday electronics.

To put this in perspective:

 

  • A laptop: 66 kg CO₂e/year (6 times more)

  • A smartphone: 20 kg CO₂e/year (2 times more)

  • A passenger car: 2,000 kg CO₂e/year (190 times more)
